Conemaugh Physician Group - Plastic Surgery physicians offer convenient, comfortable, and affordable cosmetic surgery options for men and women. Minimally invasive procedures performed in our office allow for quicker recovery time, decreased discomfort, and nearly invisible scars. Other minimally invasive outpatient procedures are performed at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, with strong clinical resources of Conemaugh Health System.

Many cosmetic surgical procedures are not considered a medical necessity and may not be covered by insurance plans. Conemaugh Physician Group - Plastic Surgery offers affordable payment plans that meet individual needs. Procedures that restore function, such as eyelid retraction, visual field repairs, or different facets of rhinoplasty, may be considered medically necessary and are often covered by insurance plans. Patients are encouraged to check with their insurance carrier before scheduling an appointment.

Cosmetic Procedures

Many procedures can be done on an outpatient basis. Even complex procedures can be treated using minimally invasive techniques. The result?  A quicker recovery, fewer complications and nearly invisible scars. Our plastic surgery physicians offer a full range of surgical treatments at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, including:

Abdominoplasty
Commonly referred to as a "tummy tuck," abdominoplasty is a procedure done to correct a loose, sagging abdomen, removing unwanted tissue and fat.

Liposuction
Procedure that removes excess fat from areas of the body, including hips, thighs, abdomen, face and neck.

Rhinoplasty (Surgery of the Nose)
Procedure to improve the appearance and proportion of the nose. In some cases it can also help with impaired breathing.

Thigh Lift
Procedure done to enhance a patient's appearance by reshaping the thighs, resulting in smoother skin.

Face Lift
Improves visible signs of aging in the face and neck and restores a more youthful, rested appearance.

Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)
By targeting loose or sagging skin, excess fatty deposits and bags under the eyes, blepharoplasty improves the overall appearance of the eyelids.

Otoplasty (Ear Surgery)
Most commonly performed on children between the ages of 4 and 14, ear surgery is typically done to  reduce the size of large ears, usually protruding farther out from the head than desired.

Forehead / Brow Lift
Places the eyebrows in a more alert, youthful looking position, as well as reduces wrinkle lines and improves frown lines.

Neck Lift
Often done in conjunction with other procedures, a neck lift can enhance the overall appearance of the neckline.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a consultation before treatment?

Yes. An in-person consultation is required before medical Botox®, dermal filler and Renuva treatments. A medical consultation is also required for medical microdermabrasion.

Is medical Botox covered by insurance?

Medical Botox is often covered by insurance. Coverage can vary depending on the patient, diagnosis and insurance plan.

How long does cosmetic Botox last?

Cosmetic Botox effects generally last three to four months. Visible results typically appear within one to two weeks after treatment.

How long do dermal fillers last?

Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers typically last six to 18 months depending on the product density and the movement of the treatment area. Areas with more movement, such as the lips, may metabolize filler faster than areas such as the cheeks.

Is there downtime after DiamondGlow?

No. DiamondGlow requires no downtime, and patients can return to normal activities and apply makeup right away.

Can dermaplaning make facial hair grow back thicker?

No. Dermaplaning removes vellus hair, but it does not change the hair's biological structure. Hair grows back at the same rate, color and thickness as before treatment.

Is there a cost for a cosmetic consultation?

Yes. There is a $127 cosmetic consultation fee that is applied toward services booked during the consultation.
