Physician Care
Our care team includes board-certified obstetrics and gynecology physicians, as well as a board-certified perinatologist specializing in high-risk pregnancy care.
Our physicians provide prenatal care, routine and specialty gynecologic care, and surgical services. They are experienced in minimally invasive techniques, robotic-assisted surgery and the management of complex gynecologic conditions.
Throughout your pregnancy, your OBGYN develops your care plan, monitors your progress, answers your questions and helps prepare you for delivery. Depending on your clinical needs and circumstances, your OBGYN may also perform cesarean deliveries and selected vaginal deliveries.
Maternity Care Team
When you deliver at Conemaugh, your care is supported by a collaborative team that may include your prenatal provider, certified nurse midwives, OB hospitalists, nurses and other specialists.
OB hospitalists are board-certified obstetricians who specialize in hospital-based labor and delivery care. In many cases, they oversee labor and delivery care during your hospital stay. They work closely with your prenatal provider through MyChart, giving them access to your pregnancy history, birth preferences and care plan.
Your prenatal provider remains an important part of your care. When you come to the hospital, the OB hospitalist builds on the plan you developed together, helping ensure a seamless transition from prenatal care to delivery and recovery. After your baby is born, you'll continue your postpartum care with your regular OBGYN or certified nurse midwife.
